Our set-up boxes can be either tight or loose-wrapped. We offer set-up boxes with set-up lids, with clear vinyl lids or 100% vinyl lids and bottoms.

We offer folding boxes in may different styles such as: automatic pop-up, bottom-locking (TUCKit Style), side-locking (Sweet Packaging™ Style), Simplex style, and Opposite-End Top & Bottom Locking boxes.  Folding boxes can be made with windows, laminated with special wraps, printed outside and inside, 4-color and UV coated. We can use heavier gauge boards for a stronger folding box, with 50% to 100%+ more strength than you are now receiving, a better box for shipping and for a longer shelf life for your products.

Given our flexibility in manufacturing options, we produce boxes that have set-up lids and folding bottoms. We can produce almost any style of box, such as a hinged lid box that has a drawer, or a box that looks like a picture frame.

We also offer a custom product line based upon our standard sizes, Sweet Packaging™ System sizes, produced with and without trays, and customized with either wrapped tops/bases or clear vinyl tops…your choice.

Determine the following:

1. Style of Box: set-up or folding, if set-up style, then determine if it will be a loose or tight wrapped box, or a tinted/printed box.  If a folding box, what type.
2. Type of board, i.e., white, chocolate brown, etc. (The proper caliper (thickness) required is determined based upon the box size, of if there are special requirements.)
3. Box dimensions. (See Box Selection Guide for measuring instructions.) (Length x Width x Height & Depth of Lid)
4. If plastic trays are required –number of cavities, design & layout of the tray.
5. If custom pads glassine are required, color and thickness/plies of pad.
6. Look >>> Color, paper, hot-stamped, embossed, color printed, etc.
7. Develop artwork/logos for boxes and pads, including ingredient statement as necessary.

• A 50% advance deposit is required on all custom orders, where credit is approved. The balance due must fall within the companies credit limit.  For non-approved customers a 100% advance deposit is required. 
• Imprinted or custom orders are subject to 15% overrun or underrun. 
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing or via e-mail and confirmed verbally by the customer.   Any work performed prior to cancellation will be billed. 
• Acknowledgements are sent for every custom or imprinted order. Compare the acknowledgement to your purchase order to ensure that your instructions have been correctly interpreted.
• Allow normally 4 to 6 weeks for delivery, except during Christmas holiday where delivery may be considerably more. 
• The minimum order is 2,500 boxes per size for custom manufactured set-up boxes and 5,000 for custom folding boxes. To obtain the best pricing the economic order breaks start at 6,000 boxes per size for set-up boxes. (Note: There are no cutting die charges for set-up boxes)

• The term imprinting refers to printing, embossing or hot stamping. Imprinting charges are based on spot logos-not to exceed 8 square inches.  Hot stamp charges are based upon spot logos in one color for an area up to 8 inches. For additional area, add 30 cents per square inch per 100 pieces.

• Embossing is available for set-up boxes at the imprinting charge .  Embossing dies will be quoted when artwork is submitted, the normal range is $500.00 to $1,000.00.

• Imprinting is always horizontal, unless specified otherwise.

• One time plate charges will be quoted on an individual basis and billed at current cost. The normal charge for an 8 square inch hot-stamping plate is $49.00. The range for hot stamping plates is $50.00 to $250.00; depending upon the square inches of the image.

• Proofs: one black and white proof will be supplied upon request at no charge for new orders.

• Given our discounts on the cost of hot-stamping plates and embossing plates / tools, these items will remain the property of Sweet Packaging and are not transferable to other manufacturers.

• Embossing plates are considerably more expensive than hot-stamping plates, and usually start at $400 for an 8-square inch, with the price increasing based upon the size.

• Orders are not scheduled for production until proof is approved in writing, FAXED back to Sweet Packaging at 1-800-229-0446, signed & dated.

• Printing inks or hot stamp foils may be selected from the listing below.

Standard Custom Kraft Tint Colors

In order to expedite orders, artwork should be provided in the following manner:

• Artwork should be supplied when requesting printing, hot stamping or embossing.
• Please indicate the approximate size of the artwork to be used and how it should be positioned.

Camera-ready artwork printouts on paper:

• A clean black and white laser printout of the artwork is the best way artwork should be supplied; No grey-tunes acceptable, for hot-stamping or embossing
• If it is more than one color, send black and white color separated.
• Always include a color composite.
• Photocopies and Facsimiles   (Faxes) are not acceptable as camera-ready art.

Call customer service for specific information on artwork submitted via disk or e-mail.

• While we carry in-house 150 + stock papers, there are thousands of papers/wraps available in different foils, textures, designs, embossing patterns, and colors that we can make available to you.   Of course you can bring us one of your own choosing.
• Send us a sample or paper swatch that we can try to match or let us know the Pantone/PMS colors desired.
• All custom papers/ foils (i.e. special orders) must be fully prepaid prior to being ordered, regardless of credit.

CUSTOM – FOLDING BOXES

• We produce custom folding boxes in many different styles, shapes, boards, plus we can laminate any paper/foil to the board.
• Folding boxes are produced on an exclusive basis. Cutting dies are charged at cost; usually cost runs between $350 - $850 per die.
• The minimum order for custom folding boxes is 5,000 units per size.
  
• Cutting dies are the property of Sweet Packaging and are for the exclusive use of the customer, but are not transferable to other manufacturers or to the customer.

CUSTOM PLASTIC TRAYS

• We produce custom trays (plastic- vinyl/ polystyrene) that will meet your specification in terms of design, layout, and overall look.
• Custom trays are produced on an exclusive basis. Custom molds will be charged at cost; usual cost runs between $3,000 -$5,000 per mold.
• Set-Up charges for custom trays/molds sized to meet our stock box dimensions can be offered on a non-exclusive basis at a reduced price.
• Custom trays can be manufactured in brown Polystyrene and gold PVC in 7.5, 10, 15 or 20 mil caliper/ thickness.
• The minimum order for custom trays is 25,000 trays per size.
• Trays are manufactured from FDA approved materials.
  
• Custom tray molds and production tooling remain the property of Sweet Packaging and are for the exclusive use of the customer, but are not transferable to other manufacturers or to the customer.
• All custom trays must be fully prepaid prior to production, i.e., prior to the mold being produced.
• {NOTE: No credit is extended on production of custom trays.}
• (NOTE: We only offer custom trays when used with our stock or custom boxes.)

CUSTOM PADS - GLASSINE

• We offer custom pads that will meet your specifications.
• Custom pads are sized to properly fit your box and are available in 2, 3, and 5 ply, high emboss construction, with glassine top and bottom plies.
• Pads are available white, brown, black, matte gold or metallic foil (Gold or Silver).
• All pads can be customized (imprinted) with your logo, special design, etc.
• For new custom orders there is a one-time Rotogravure Print Cylinder charge of $2,000.
• The custom Rotogravure print cylinder remains the property of Sweet Packaging and is for the exclusive use of the customer, but is not transferable to other manufacturers or to the customer.
• The minimum order for custom pads is 5,000 pads per size.
• All pads are manufactured from FDA approved materials, white glassine.
• All custom pads must be fully prepaid prior to production. {NOTE: No credit is extended on production of custom pads.}
• (NOTE: We only offer custom pads when used with our stock or custom boxes.)

CUSTOM PLATFORMS - PAPERBOARD

• We produce custom platforms (paperboard) for insertion into boxes, which will provide your products with a 3-dimensional appearance.
• Platforms are produced on an exclusive basis. Cutting dies are charged at cost; usually cost runs between $300 - $800 per die.
• Cutting dies are the property of Sweet packaging and are for the exclusive use of the customer, but are not transferable to other manufacturers or to the customer.
• We can produce platforms using white, brown or black paperboard, or we can laminate any paper/foil to the board.
• Platforms can be color printed.
• Platforms can be die cut so that they can ‘hold’ your products in place either using a cut out ‘well’ that your item sits in or cut out ‘flaps’ that holds your items in place.
• The minimum order for custom platforms is 5,000 units per size.
• NOTE: The use of custom paperboard platforms is a much lower cost alternative to producing custom plastic trays to hold your products.

CUSTOM SLEEVES/BANDS - PAPERBOARD

• We produce custom sleeves/ bands (paper-board) for going around your box, which will provide your product with a means for keeping your box from opening, without sliding off the sleeve/band, as well as adding a visual effect to your packaging.
• Sleeves /bands are produced on an exclusive basis. Cutting dies are charged at cost; usually cost runs between $300 -$800 per die.
• We can produce sleeves using 0.014 to 0.024 SBS (white) board that can be color printed or laminated with any paper/foil of your choice and then hot stamped or embossed. Additionally, we can use other hard stocks with different finishes and textures.
• Cutting dies remain the property of Sweet Packaging and are for the exclusive use of the customer, but are not transferable to other manufacturers or to the customer.
• The minimum order for custom sleeves/bands is 5,000 units per size.
• NOTE: The use of sleeves or bands allows for your use of a generic custom box or using an in-stock box, while customizing your box using the sleeve or band. This is a lower cost alternative to producing multiple custom boxes of the same size, where a band can be used to differentiate your selections. This is also a low cost way to produce boxes for wholesale to multiple customers.
• (NOTE: We only offer custom sleeves/ bands when used with our stock or custom boxes.)

CUSTOM POINT-OF-SALE DISPLAYS

• We offer custom Point-Of-Sale (POS) displays.
• We can produce POS displays that meet your requirements in terms of size, cutout design for your header, color printing, gauge/thickness of the board used and the style of POS display.
• We offer various options in gauge/thickness of the broad used ranging from SBS 0.024 to F-Flute or E-Flute (corrugated).
• We offer several styles ranging from automatic pop-up to one piece folding. Additionally, we offer options such as angular stands as attachments to the POS display, which can change the angle at which the display sits, i.e. instead of flat, at a 15 degree angle, etc.
• We can laminate papers/foils to the board, color print, and UV high-gloss coat, hot-stamp and/or emboss the POS display.
• The minimum order for custom POS displays is 1,000 units per size; with the Economic Order
• Quantity being 5,000 units.
• Cutting dies are charged at cost; usually cost runs between $500 - $1,000 depending upon the display style and cutting design required for the header.
• Cutting dies remain the property of Sweet Packaging and are for the exclusive use of the customer, but are not transferable to other manufacturers or to the customer.
• NOTE: Samples of custom POS displays – can be provided upon request for sizing purposes (using only board, i.e. no imprint, or special cutout header) for an advance payment of $250.00 per sample, which is fully refundable upon final payment of the same item ordered.
• All POS displays must be fully prepaid prior to production, i.e., once the design is approved.
• {NOTE: No credit is extended on production of POS displays.}
